MATERIAL OVERVIEW

17CrNiMo6 Steel Forging Overview

17CrNiMo6 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum case-hardening steel developed for highly loaded components requiring high core strength, toughness and a wear-resistant carburized surface.

The grade is commonly associated with material number 1.6587. In modern European specifications, 18CrNiMo7-6 is widely used as the corresponding designation. Because chemical limits and delivery requirements may vary between standards and revisions, the governing material specification should always be confirmed before production.

We supply custom 17CrNiMo6 steel forgings according to customer drawings and technical requirements. Production is reviewed based on forging dimensions, unit weight, machining allowance, carburizing requirements, testing scope and documentation requirements.
